Post IV

In this post I added another 3 rappers; Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and Jay-Z. I think this rounds out the list and I now have a good sample from the top 20 rappers in the world.


This is my map up until now, 7/9 rappers were born and raised in the USA. Also Drake was born very close the US/Canadian border. J-Cole is the odd one out, I placed him in Frankfurt, Germany because this is his place of birth, but from a very young age he moved to and was raised in the USA.

Given the above, 100% of the rappers in my study so far have close ties to America, and all of them are currently living in America. I think this shows that this style of music is largely focused in America. That is what my small study suggests anyway.
